Meet RankThat: The SEO Platform We Built

Every SEO month at our agency used to look the same. Export an audit from one tool, rankings from another and Search Console numbers from a third. Paste it all into a report template. Then spend days on fixes everyone already knew about: titles too long, redirects missing, schema absent, images too heavy. The tools we paid for were good at finding problems and no help fixing them.
So we built one place that does the whole loop. It's called RankThat, and this post starts a series about it.
What RankThat is
RankThat is an SEO platform for the monthly work, not just the research. It audits a site, drafts the fixes and applies them once you approve, tracks where you rank in Google and in AI assistants, and writes the client report. We built it inside Digital Hype Media to run our own client sites, and it runs on them every day. Its co-founders are Timothy Sykes, who runs the agency, and Muhammad Farhan Khan, who leads the engineering.
Find: an audit that reads like a to-do list
RankThat crawls every page and runs more than 100 checks across crawlability, indexing, content, links, speed, security, schema, mobile and AI readiness, including whether AI crawlers can read the site.
Every issue comes with a plain-English explanation of why it matters and what to do about it, so the audit doubles as a to-do list your team or your client can follow. It crawls as RankThatBot and says so, respects robots.txt, and never tries to get past a firewall. If a site blocks it, the audit tells you how to allowlist the bot.
Fix: changes that go live, with undo
Most SEO tools stop at the report. RankThat writes the fix, shows it to you first, and applies it once you approve.
- WordPress: the free RankThat Bridge plugin applies the full set of fixes, and works with Rank Math, Yoast and SEOPress.
- Sites on Cloudflare: a Cloudflare Worker handles titles, descriptions, schema, alt text, redirects, security headers and llms.txt.
- Everything else: Webflow, Wix, Squarespace and custom sites can use a one-line snippet for titles, descriptions, schema and alt text. A RankThat Shopify app is coming soon.
Wherever a fix goes live, nothing changes until you approve it, and every change can be undone in one click.
Track: Google, the map pack and AI answers
The rank tracker checks your keywords on desktop and mobile, daily or weekly, from the city you choose, and alerts you when something drops. For local businesses, the Local Rank Grid shows street by street where you appear in the map pack and where a competitor does instead.
More people now ask an assistant who to hire before they search Google. RankThat checks whether ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews mention your business, and which sources they cite. If that is new to you, we wrote about how to get cited by AI search.
Report: the monthly report, drafted for you
At the start of each month RankThat drafts every client report in plain English: clicks, calls, form leads, rankings and the work completed, with the wins and drops explained. Months are compared per day, so a 30-day month isn't "down" against a 31-day one.
You read it, change what you want and approve it. Nothing is sent without that approval. Reports carry your agency name and logo, and clients can read them in their own read-only portal.
Who it's for
- SEO agencies and freelancers who manage several client sites and want all of them in one login.
- Business owners who want their own site to rank, and want fixes to go live without waiting on a developer.
You don't need WordPress. Audits, rank tracking, keyword research, AI visibility and reports work for any website. And if your team uses AI agents, RankThat is also an MCP server: Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other agents can answer questions from your real audits, rankings and Search Console data, and they ask before changing anything.
Our free audit runs on RankThat
If you have asked for a free audit on this site, you have already seen RankThat at work. When you send the form, our site passes your website address to RankThat's Audit API. RankThat audits the site and sends the result back, and within five minutes your score and the full PDF report are in your inbox.
The report is automated, so we don't leave it there. The email has a link to book a free call, and we go through the report with you: what matters, what can wait, and whether a deeper audit is worth it.
Agencies can do the same on their own sites. RankThat's lead widget adds a free audit form to any page with two lines of HTML, and every PDF carries your logo, colors and call to action. The widget and the Audit API come with the Professional and Enterprise plans.
Try it, and what's next
Every RankThat plan starts with a 14-day free trial, and the WordPress plugin is free on every plan. To check a single page first, the free Website SEO Checker grades it in seconds, no account needed.
Next in this series: the site audit and how fixes go live, then AI visibility, then what RankThat does for agencies. In the meantime, if you want to know where your own site stands, get your free audit.
